Heraldry and Genealogy
In November of 2024, I decided to look into a coat of arms that we had hanging in our house when I was a kid. I wanted to learn more about its origin and meaning, and so I got my feet wet in the fascinating world of heraldry. As my ancestors are from Britain and Scandinavia, I grew a great interest in the art and tradition of their arms. Following my somewhat inconclusive findings about the Rix Coat of Arms, I looked into other ancestral lines. I have had mixed findings regarding how clearly I am related to some of the individuals noted in my ancestry, and so I have also made clear on the pages listed here how confident I am about my direct ties to them. If I look into any more, I will post only those I can confidently tie to my forebears.
